Okay, I liked Kate the minute I checked out her website a few weeks ago during Six Sentence Sunday and here’s why:
a. her header contains pasta (my fav!)
b. her tagline is “love, laugh, eat” (all things I do really well)
c. her writing is witty, sexy, and deliciously entertaining all at the same time!
Okay so what exactly is The Lucky 7 MEME? Here’s how it works:

So here’s the thing, I write novellas and I’m lucky to get to page 77. So, since rules are only guidelines don’t you know, I’m going with page 7 of LUSTED IN LAS VEGAS, my Summer 2012 release and the sequel to MAROONED IN MIAMI
In this scene, Stephanie meets Jason at their private pool oasis at a very swanky Las Vegas resort (oh yes my friends, there is a grotto in that swimming pool!). Anyway, here’s my seven:
Even through his dark sunglasses Stephanie knew he watched her from the moment she came outside in her black string bikini and high-heeled black strappy sandals.
He smiled as she approached, dark eyes looking up at her from his sunglasses. “There’s breakfast in the cabana, come I’ll fix you a cup of coffee.”
“No, you sit, I’ll help myself,” she said and kissed him lightly on his mouth. Stephanie licked her lips. “Yum, you’ve been eating pineapple, my favorite.” She winked and sashayed into the cabana.
