Six Sentence Sunday – 5/13

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the sixer moms out there. It’s our day, ladies!

This week’s six is from my sensual romance novella, SARA’S SMILE, releasing on May 18th! I’m having a summer kick-off Sara’s Smile release party and you are all invited. Please stop back to my blog on Friday to sip on a mojito, play some summer triva and maybe even win prizes.

In this scene, Will has just asked Sara to throw reason to the wind and stop time for a while. Here’s a little Sara’s Smile triva…I posted snippets from this scene when it was still a working WIP, does anyone remember what happened in the original version?

She  pulled  away  from  his  kiss,  took  him  by  the   hand  and  led  him  into  the  hotel.

She  was  thankful  for  the  empty  elevator  because,  as  soon  as  the  door  closed,  she   was  free  to  crush  her  mouth  to  his.

“Sara,” he murmured, and backed her up, pinning her to the elevator wall. His tongue  teased  her  lips  apart  and  glided  along  her  teeth.

She  relinquished  her  tongue  to  his,  her  heart  rate  elevating  along  with  the  car  as  they   climbed  the  floors,  one  by  one,  until  the  doors  opened  on  the  twenty-second  floor.

Will  fumbled  for  his  access  card,  while  Sara  planted  a  trail  of  kisses  down  his  neck   and  began  unbuttoning  his  shirt.

Thanks for stopping by to read my snippet and especially for any comments you are inclined to leave. If you would like to add Sara’s Smile to your Goodreads shelf, please click here.

I’m taking a few weeks off from Six Sentence Sunday to finish a WIP and prepare for my book tour. See you again in June!

In your original version, she hesitated and made some excuse? I like that, here, she’s willing to take a risk to recapture what she’s longed for all this time.

    • Sandra says:

Yes, she ended up taking a cab home because the first draft was a little complicated. I cut the noise and focused on Sara and Will’s relationship growth. It works much better now and I’m thrilled with the finished product. Thanks for your comment!
