Here’s the next six sentences from The Olympian, a short lust-to-love story about second chances. I’m thrilled to say I just signed a contract on this story. The Olympian was chosen for inclusion in Evernight Publishing’s Vanilla-Free Christmas anthology! #yay
In this scene, Rachel, an Olympic skier hopeful, stops at Starbucks for a chai latte on her way to Crimson Mountain for a weekend of training. She meets Hans [may rename him Erik-lol] who offers, well insists, on giving her a ride to the mountain because he thinks her tin can of a car is unsafe. Let’s just say they don’t exactly hit it off…or do they?
His deep voice washed over her like silk. She spun around and watched as he removed the lid from his cup and touched his lips to the edge for a long sip. An involuntarily picture of his tongue teasing her hardened nipples sent a warm sensation straight to her core. How could a random stranger infuriate and excite her at the same time. She needed to put some distance between them before she inexplicably agreed to his demand. Fast.
