A long sexy sip on #SixSunday

Happy Six Sentence Sunday!

Here’s the next six sentences from The Olympian, a short lust-to-love story about second chances. I’m thrilled to say I just signed a contract on this story. :-)  The Olympian was chosen for inclusion in Evernight Publishing’s Vanilla-Free Christmas anthology! #yay

In this scene, Rachel, an Olympic skier hopeful, stops at Starbucks for a chai latte on her way to Crimson Mountain for a weekend of training. She meets Hans [may rename him Erik-lol] who offers, well insists, on giving her a ride to the mountain because he thinks her tin can of a car is unsafe. Let’s just say they don’t exactly hit it off…or do they?

His deep voice washed over her like silk. She spun around and watched as he removed the lid from his cup and touched his lips to the edge for a long sip. An involuntarily picture of his tongue teasing her hardened nipples sent a warm sensation straight to her core. How could a random stranger infuriate and excite her at the same time. She needed to put some distance between them before she inexplicably agreed to his demand. Fast.

    Awesome news, congratulations!
Ah, people that infuriate and excite us at the same time. You could be talking about my husband, lol!
If you’re looking for votes, I vote Erik. Only because I once knew a Hans and he doesn’t inspire sexy images in my mind. :P
    Great snippet!

    • Sandra says:

Thanks, Karla! I’ve heard the Hans thing a couple of times so it’ll probably get changed. There’s a story behind the name Hans and I kept it for sentimental reasons but the more I think about it, the more I think I’ll make the switch.

  2. She needs to, but will she? LOL Congrats on the new contract! :)

  3. Ceri Hebert says:

Wow! Now there’s some chemistry!! Well done!

That’s great news about the contract! I like the conflicting emotions in this snippet, it makes for an enjoyable read, though I have to agree with Dee. She should say yes!

  8. S. J. Maylee says:

Yeah, more Sandra books, that makes me happy. No distance, don’t you dare let her put any distance between them, lol. Her thoughts are way too yummy for any distance.

  9. Gemma Parkes says:

    Powerful and sensual, loved it!
