Have you ever wondered what it takes to make an Alpha Male?
Is it the way he looks? His dark and stormy eyes, the way his body moves, the way he…well, I’ll leave that last part up to you.
What about the way he acts? Or treats his heroine?
My answer? All of the above!
It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of the Alpha-yummy Hero and I’m about to introduce you to two favorites, Jason Royce and Asher Cane.
Jason Royce is the very sessay Alpha Hero of MAROONED IN MIAMI and LUSTED IN LAS VEGAS.
Jason is the ultimate Alpha. Strong, confident, successful, and yeah, just a little cocky. Take a peek inside the elevator when he first meets Stephanie in MAROONED IN MIAMI:
“Sweetheart, we’re not going to die. We’re stopped between the second and third floor. The front desk knows we’re in here, just calm down and for God’s sake, please don’t scream again.”
His voice poured out slow and deep, like honey. How could he be so calm and smug at a time like this? “Let’s just get one thing clear here, you stay where you are. I swear, if you take one step toward me, I’ll kick your ass. I know self defense.” Stephanie tried to muster as much authority as possible and cursed her shaky voice.
“I’m sure you can kick my ass. Those heels you have on are lethal. Not to worry, I don’t need to hold a woman captive. They come to me quite freely, if you know what I mean.”
Now meet Asher Cane. Asher’s story begins in my short story, The Satin Rose Experience, in the KEYBOARDS AND KINK Anthology. I had so much fun with Asher and Mia, I decided to expand it into a series! MIA’S SUBMISSION (The Satin Rose Experience, #1) is available now and BROOKE’S WISH (The Satin Rose Experience, #2) releases on November 2nd.
Here’s an Alpha moment from MIA’S SUBMISSION:
“I know you liked it. Damn it, I know you did. What do you want from me? Tell me,” he growled into her ear.
She answered him through shallow breaths. “I want you, all of you. Don’t hold back on me.”
He stopped and looked down as if in deep thought. His fingers absentmindedly moved up and down her arms. He inhaled deeply and blew out his captured breath.
“You don’t know what you’re asking, Mia. I have a dark side that goes beyond light spanking and restraints. Are you ready to go there with me?”
“I will if you show me everything, Asher. All of you. I left myself open for you and I expect the same if this is going to work.”
He held her cheek in his palm and rubbed his thumb over her bottom lip.
“I don’t want to lose you, Mia. Whether you want the position or not, I want you.”

Why I love Alpha Males is no real surprise! The perfect Alpha Male for me could be a Vampire, a Scottish Laird, an English Rogue/Gentleman, a Werewolf or Shape-shifter, or a Knight. Alpha males are the best….strong, independent, fiercely protective, but on the inside they are nothing but a big ol’ teddy bear!
